The 106 firearms on display represent a lifetime of collecting and document the history of gun making in Vermont from 1790 to 1900; ‘Paperwork in 3D’: Work by 25 contemporary origami, cut-paper and book artists; ‘Behind the Lens, Under the Big Top’: Black-and-white circus photography from the late-1960s by Elliot Fenander; ‘In Fashion: High Style, 1690-2011′: Costumes from the museum’s permanent collection, plus borrowed works from today’s top designers, including Karl Lagerfeld, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera and Balenciaga, among others.

10th Annual Cider House Run & Pie Fest at Shelburne Orchards is September 25, 2011 from 11:00am – 4:00 pm. Start the day with a run through the orchard. Then you can enter, enjoy, or eat the homemade apple pies in the Pie Fest! The Cider House Run/Walk (2 or 4 mile run/2 mile walk) begins at 11:00 am. The Pie Fest consists of 3 local judges taste-testing 30 double crusted apple pies. Shelburne Orchards is located at 216 Orchard Road in Shelburne, VT, 0548. Cost is $20 for anyone over 12 (includes a $5 Pick Your Own apples coupon). Kids under 12 are asked to pay $5 for the coupon.

Bust a move on Wednesday, September 28 from 6:30 – 8pm. At the Mahaney Center for the Arts Dance Studio in Middlebury. Experience RIDDIM. With members of RIDDIM World Dance Troupe. This class will cover a variety of styles featured in RIDDIM shows, including hip-hop, jazz, jazz funk,
