Monday night Bingo showed some big winners. Barbara Banchik from NYC won Blackout. Sally Epstein right behind with Loser’s Bingo. Elizabeth O’Keefe won High Stakes and Kristina Rubrick won Picture Frame. Other winners were Tim Browne, Gabe Baron, Andrew Winter and Oliver Cookson. Congratulations and we hope you went shopping today!
Resort News
We are proud of the rich history that has shaped our beautiful resort. We enjoy looking back on our wonderful guests, memories and the pictures we have collected over the past 125 years. Nina Hopkins brought in a Christmas Newsletter from 1938 to share. “The sign at the entrance reads, “Basin Harbor Lodge, Allen Penfield Beach, Host.” Notice the word “host” rather than propreiter. Allen lives up perfectly to his title; if there is one thing he enjoys doing it is keeping his guests entertained and happy…when there was a shortage of help in the dining room and service suddenly bogged dow, Allen excused himself from the table and the next moment was “rustling” trays and dishes in and out of the kitchen.” Bob and Pennie follow this same practice today. From our family to yours,thank you for joining us for 125 years of family,friends and fun.

Todays Round Robin winner was Craig Scott…He took the Australian Open with Janet Cookson, Becky Bennis and Jeff Penkacik in a three way tie for second.

The Biggest Fish….was caught by Griff and Emma at the fishing tournament today. Anabel and Hugo Jackson followed with a grand total of 13 fish caught. Alex, Matthew and Henry caught 4 fish as did Eddie. Maryann, Kaitlin, Hailey and Nicholas all caught at least 3 fish each. Good Casting!
