Basin Harbor’s Gardens are coming into their prime. Six main gardens vary in size, shape and floral design.  The Surprise Garden at the end of the Main Lodge is the only perennial garden at Basin Harbor. The Eight Bed Garden is in front of the Gardenside Cottages and was established in the 1950′s.  The Long Garden is the serpentine garden that stretches for 450 ft. along the entry drive.
The Chef’s Garden is at the east end of the Main Lodge and is known for its textures and scents.
The Sunnypines Garden is in front of Sunnypines Cottage and features a huge, old juniper tree.
The Wilderneath Garden is our oldest garden, originally planted in 1915 and features a white marble walk and very old trees.  Its original purpose was to grow flowers for cutting and to grow vegetables served in the dining room. Please enjoy the gardens.
