Today across the country, we gather together with family and friends to celebrate this freedom and the people who have fought for us to maintain it. We are honored that you have chosen to celebrate Independence Day with us. From our family to yours, we hope you have a Happy Fourth of July!

Join us for the Holiday Breakfast Buffet from 7:30 to 10:00 am. At 7:15 am there will also be a Patriotic Sing Along complimentary with Mimosa and Bloody Mary’s. Join Rec Staff, and Pianist Alli Longstreet for a delicious breakfast and fun. Patriotic dress is encouraged, complete with the wonderful hats that were designed yesterday. Tennis News
Our Saturday Social Round Robin winner was John Pollart with 12 games. Our Sunday Social Round Robin was Claire Pollart (Wife of John Pollart) with 11 games. Today, the 9:00 am Adult Clinic will be played on the clay courts followed by the 10:00 am Adult Clinic on the hard courts. At 11:00 am, on the hard courts we begin our BHC ATP tour. The first of our Round Robin competition. The Australian Open is at 11:00 AM. We hope you will join us for a week of competition!

We hope you enjoyed our spectacular fireworks display. A firework fun fact: The discovery of fireworks, or namely the formulation of gunpowder, is believed to have occurred by chance approximately 2,000 years ago in China. Last year the value of fireworks imported from China to the United States was $190.7 million dollars.
Here are more fascinating facts about the fourth of July: Americans spend the same amount on charcoal and popsicles during the holiday weekend. Last year, $111 million dollars were spent on both items. Love Grandma Beach’s Apple Pie? Those apples most likely came from Washington or New York which are the two top apple producing states.
