Can it be the end of 2010? We’ve had a great year, all around – a lovely summer, for the most part, and a very colorful fall notwithstanding the relative lack of preciptiation during the summer months (hence the great weather).
We had the treat of having both “children” home over the Christmas holiday for the first time in three years. As they grow older, we know that this treat will become more and more rare, more precious. At least Sarah is now working in Boston, way closer than Pompano Beach, FL. Perhaps less compelling to visit in February, yet every location has its own attraction. We love visiting Hasket in Chicago, exploring neighborhoods and all the many restaurants.
Here at home at BHC, it’s been cold and blowy but we’ve been spared the traffic blocking blizzards of the New York area. It has been cold enough for the ski areas to make snow, and the slopes are pulsing with skiers and boarders strutting their stuff. When will Lake Champlain freeze for the winter? Will anyone hazard a guess?
Good news from Florida, where Bob Beach, Sr., spends the winter. Not that they’ve set any temperature records, but Bob, Sr., has retuned to the golf course after several months of inaction! Go Bob!
Happy New Year to you all, may it be a year full of good cheer, good health, and joy in your surroundings!
