Well, here it is, the day after a wonderful Thanksgiving feast. I was too stuffed yesterday to even think of blogging. It was a lovely family occasion – Hasket and Sarah were home, our friend Paul was here from Miami, and virtually all the Vermont Morris/Raphael clan was here, including the two youngest, just a few weeks old! We enjoyed a great big Misty Knoll Turkey and all the fixings. As the social column in the local paper was wont to say, 30 or so years ago, a good time was had by all.
The many blessings we recounted were filled with tales of family events from other holidays gone by. We wish we had been with Bob and Wendy, Merle and Dan, and with Bob Beach, Sr., as well, but the former were with Wendy’s family in Norwich, and Bob, Sr., was out under the stars in Naples (FL) with the wonderful Watkins family.
Thanksgiving is certainly our favorite winter time holiday (July Fourth being the all time best, of course) because it’s all about family, and you all out there are part of our family, too. We’re thankful that we get to share our summers with you and yours.
Thank you for being here with us each summer! May your holidays be filled with joy – Pennie
