Resort News

Basin Harbor’s new spa, Blue Chair Day Spa, is available on a limited basis this time of year, but we’d love to book a treatment for you! Michelle is available on Thursday for your manicure and pedicure needs, and our masseuse Patti will be available Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for massages. Book your pampering appointments with the concierge!

Enjoy a Narrated Cruise on Lake Champlain aboard The EScape! Sign up with the concierge for our daily cruise at 2:30pm, and learn all about the wonders and historical significance of our beloved lake. To learn even more about the natural history of our area, step inside the Nature Center, located on the ground floor of the Homestead building. There, you will find displays about shipwrecks, local flora and fauna, geology, the legend of Champ, a nature art gallery, and more! Trail maps, hiking guides, and cycling routes are also available at the Nature Center, so you can plan your own local adventure!

Can’t get enough maritime history? Visit our neighbors at the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, right next door to Basin Harbor Club, and find out about the various types of vessels that sailed up and down the lake in years past. Check out the museum’s fine collection of boat displays, art galleries, and special exhibits.

For your strolling pleasure, a walk out to Button Bay is a great way to get a taste of the local nature scene in the Champlain Valley. A trail map from the front desk or Nature Center will help guide you out to Button Point for a serene view of the bay and Button Island, and back again. Make a loop with the Woodlands Trail for a change of scenery, or stop to play a game of checkers at our Checkerboard Stump, located on the trail near the 4th Fairway of the golf course.

The Breezeway Gift Shop will be open from 8:30am-Noon on Tues-Thurs and 8:30am-5:00pm on Friday and Saturday. Be sure to stock up on souvenirs, BHC merchandise and other goodies for your trip back home.

Late Summer is a lovely time to be out on our magnificent golf course, so be sure to book a tee time at the golf shop, open from 8am to 4pm daily, or by dialing extension 899. To tide you over while you hit the greens, visit the Fairway Café, right next door to the golf shop. There, you can pick up snacks and beverages, or sit down for a fresh-pressed panini. This week, the café is open 10am to 3pm on weekdays and 9am to 3pm on weekends.

Basin Harbor’s Exective Chef Chris Kruse offers a new late summer lineup of delectable courses to choose from in our elegant Main Dining Room. The MDR is open for dinner 6:30pm to 8pm, and for our breakfast buffet from 7am to 10am. You may also choose to dine at the Red Mill, sporting its own new-and-improved gastropub menu. The Mill is open for lunch from 11:30am-3pm and dinner from 5pm-9pm on weekdays and until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, with a limited pub menu available in between.

Speaking of the Red Mill, don’t forget to check out our live entertainment on Friday night! Basin Harbor is putting on an 80s Dance Party with local 80s cover band Hot Neon Magic. Get out your scrunchies, shoulder pads, leggings, mesh shirts, and make an appointment for a perm! We hope to see you all there in full 80s attire, ready to dance the night away!
