The 15th Fairway has new arrivals!  2 fledgelings were born to an osprey pair spending a first season on the nesting platform erected last winter by grounds superintendent Charlie Messenger and the golf maintenance crew.  We believe the pair had originally nested in the top of a dead tree on Otter Creek where we delighted in seeing them from the causeway. The tree was damaged during two winters and the osprey couple diligently rebuilt their fallen nests each spring.  Last winter’s snows destroyed the tree. We are delighted to supply a home for our feathered guests. Basin Harbor is an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.  If you spot interesting wildlife, please let the Concierge or Front Desk know. Your name and your experience will appear in the Breeze.
