Welcome back Richard & Lisa Macris from New York City! Also welcome back to Mr. Edward Flynn and his family from Wenham, MA! We are welcoming back Kathryn Ratcliffe-Lee & family from Wayne, NJ! Happy Anniversary to Mr. & Mrs. David Larson from all of us at Basin Harbor! We want to wish Mr. Eric Snyder a very happy 65th birthday! And, of course, welcome to all those who are joining us for the first time!
Basin Harbor mourns the passing of Dr. William H. Everett, of Williamstown, MA. Dr. Everett began coming to BHC with his parents at the age of 3, in 1933, and was a frequent visitor ever since.
He worked here as a teenager, acting as a driver for A. P. Beach, and working on the waterfront of his beloved Lake Champlain. One of his amusing recollections was unloading many bags of cement from a boxcar in Vergennes that would be the floor of the new Main Dining Room, built in 1946 after WWII ended. He came every year since he was three and was also was the boat captain while working at the waterfront.
Dr. Everett is survived by his wife, Gintare Sileika Everett, and his two children, Patricia Everett, of Amherst, MA, and James Everett of Chapin, SC, and three grandchildren. All of us here extend our most heartfelt sympathies to his family and friends.
