Today will be a great day to explore the outdoors, with sunny skies and highs in the upper 70’s.
We would like to welcome back Mr. & Mrs. McConnel from Camden, ME! And welcome back to the Stred family from North Adams, MA. We also want to wish Miss Zoè Kahn a very happy 10th birthday! Joan and Howard Tykot have returned to Basin Harbor many times since their first stay in 1972. They are celebrating Robert and Cynthia Tykot’s 25th wedding anniversary, Jefferey Tykot’s college graduation, Matthew Tykot’s high school graduation, and Robert and Edward’s birthdays. Welcome to all whom are first timers as well and we look forward to showing all that Basin Harbor has to offer!
Start your day of with an energizing workout with Scott’s Boot Camp at 7:30am. Or for something a little more tranquil, head to the Treehouse Wellness center at 9:45am for yoga in our beautiful yoga studio. For those late risers we have the FIT class at 11am to get your heart pumping and strengthen those muscles. Then at 2pm we have the Famous Mini Triathlon, gather your team or go it solo and meet down at the waterfront for some friendly competition. For some more relaxing competition, check out the Wine & Wickets event at 4pm on the north side of the harbor, in front of the Harborstore.
Looking to venture off property? Head into Vergennes for some fabulous local cuisine and check out the monthly Arts Walk. There are 19 stops throughout our lovely “little city” open between 5pm and 7pm, pick up your map at the Concierge desk!
The evening festivities begin with the lovely melodies of our pianist in the Champlain Lounge at 5pm. Be sure to make reservations for the Shore dinner tonight on the North Dock. You don’t want to miss this amazing buffet featuring Hand Cracked Boiled Lobster, Chef Carved Pesto Stuffed Flank Steak with Chimichurri Sauce, a Shrimp Scampi Station and more. Dinner starts at 6pm and reservations can be made with the Concierge. And if the dinner wasn’t appealing enough all by itself, we also have the Onion River Jazz Band playing tonight! They are a traditional seven-piece Dixieland jazz band from Burlington, VT. The band is here celebrating their 30th anniversary. So come on down and celebrate with them!
Our Daily Golf Clinics are designed to cover all areas of golf. The clinics are open to males, female and junior golfers of every handicap level, from the new golfer, middle or low handicap player. Every student will receive individual instruction. Each student will understand his or her own instincts and tendencies. Today’s focus will be on chipping, but the lesson can be flexible based on the group’s desires.
