Sunrise 5:24am Sunset 8:33pm
Local Weather (Subject to Change!)
It will be mostly sunny today with high near 80 and a chance for showers in the afternoon.
Basin Harbor is happy to welcome Edward & Joan McGovern from Keswick, VA! They will be joined later in the week by the rest of their family for a reunion! And, as always, we are so glad to have all of our new and old guests here with us!
Today will be a great day to explore down by the Waterfront! Play on our Sandy Beach or swim out to the trampoline. There are kayaks & canoes, paddleboards & more! Let our Waterfront crew set you up to have an amazing day in the sun…just don’t forget the sunscreen!
Another way to enjoy the sun today will be during our Garden Tour! Join Chantal, of our gardening staff, as she tours you through our 15,000 sq. feet of gardens. Each year Linden Landscaping designs these beautiful gardens and we help plant them. Then our gardeners care for them. This year’s designs reflect the great Mountain Ranges of the World!
We’ve got Nature Art with Amber this morning! Join her for a little stroll around some of the property and trails to collect the perfect pieces of nature to create your own masterpiece. We’ll find the perfect spot to display your artwork for all the world to see (or at least all the Basin Harbor world)! Bring your enthusiasm and creativity to this activity and enjoy some outdoor time!
Head over to the Treehouse Wellness Center to sign up for our Mini Triathlon this afternoon! This is a great family event that we host weekly. You’ll start out at the Waterfront with a swim, then throw on your running shoes for a quick loop, and finally hop on your bike for one more loop and the finish!
We’ve got some very special cruises for you today…this morning Captain Alec has decided to set sail up Otter Creek during the Captain’s Cruise! Tonight we encourage you to learn how to make two signature cocktails from the master of the mixed drink, Corey, on the interactive Cocktails 101 Cruise! Don’t loose your spot, sign up with Concierge.
Tonight is the Shore Dinner! This is an amazing buffet that happens down at the North Dock. Our amazing Chef has created an incredible array of tasty sea-inspired fare. Swing by the Concierge desk to take a peek at the menu and make your reservation! After dinner come by the Town Hall for some Basin Harbor Bingo!
Just a reminder that the Buffet Extravaganza has moved from the Ranger Room to the Main Dining Room this week! We thank you for your patience and understanding during this temporary move.
Did you know…that Vergennes was named for the Comte de Vergennes Charles Gravier, a French nobleman who donated most of his fortune to aid the American cause during the Revolution, Gravier never came to America or the town that bears his name. Even though the Comte did not get to see Vergennes, we recommend that you take a stroll through our quaint “little city”! Stop into some of the shops along Main Street. Or grab a bite to eat at one of the amazing little cafes and restaurants. The park is a great place to relax and people watch! See the Concierge for more things to do and directions!
