Fishing News
What a day down at the docks! The Fishing Tournament turned up some talented anglers at Basin Harbor. Special recognition belongs to Xavier from Long Island, NY for the most fish caught, Stelliana from Harvard, MA for the biggest fish, and Kate of Hingam, MA for the smallest fish. We also congratulate Stavros of Harvard, MA for reeling in a big ‘un, too! Well done!

Fun fact about our golf pro Paul Meunier:VT Native PGA Tour Member and PGA Champion Keegan Bradley was a student of Paul’s when Keegan was a Junior Golfer in Woodstock VT! In fact, Paul was awarded the VTPGA Junior Golf Leadership Award in 2011. Take advantage of this great BHC resource and sign up for the Junior Golf Clinic for those ages 8-13 on Thursday. Please register at the golf shop in advance. For the golfing ladies out there, our Women’s Golf Clinic will be happening Friday.

Those who joined naturalist Matthew Witten for the Adirondack Hike on Monday know that he has a wealth of information and humor to contribute to your Lake Champlain adventures! Tomorrow morning, join Matt and try your hand at Rowing a 19th Century Replica Pilot Gig during one of two time slots. Matt will tell you all about the history of these colorful, seaworthy crafts as you synchronize with your crew and enjoy a lovely morning out on the lake! Sign up in advance for this simply wonderful and unique opportunity. Sea Shanties may or may not break out during your row!

For your early evening entertainment, sit with us on the Sunshine Lawn at 7pm tonight and enjoy a free hour-long production of “Anything Goes!” by the Very Merry Traveling Theater. Vermont’s troupe of talented teens will wow you with their version of the classic Cole Porter tale about the shenanigans of the crew and passengers aboard the S.S. American. It will be a perfect night for enjoying outdoor entertainment! And when the sun goes down, you can head into the Town Hall to catch Basin Harbor’s much-talked-about Staff Variety Show that kicks off at 9:30pm. Doors and drinks kick off at 9pm.
