Resort News

For the active Basin Harborites in our crowd, sign up at the Treehouse Wellness Center for Vinyasa Yoga and Core Training this morning. Get your workout in early so you can relax the rest of your day. If you’re not ready to relax, this afternoon holds our increasingly popular Basin Harbor Triathlon, which is not to be missed! Challenge yourself on this fun event that will have you swimming, biking, and running around BHC property. Grab a friend or family member for a team, or do all three legs on your own. Meet down at the waterfront at 1:45pm with a bike and helmet and a competitive spirit!

Due to popularity, Basin Harbor is offering in place of the Deer Leap Hike a second Adirondack Hike with naturalist Matt Witten, this very afternoon! There are only a few spaces left, so see the concierge for availability. Keep in mind that the trails over on the New York side are fairly rustic, moderate in difficulty, and involve a few steep rocky scrambles. We highly recommend bringing plenty of water, appropriate footwear with traction, and bug spray.

If tennis is more your thing, head to the hard courts after breakfast for an Adult Open Hit today and tomorrow, hosted by our favorite Romanian, Constantin. Champlain Lounge Bartender by night, Tennis Pro by day, Constantin will guide this complimentary session of doubles and singles point play. The open session will be followed by a Round Robin, complete with a refreshing fruit tray to keep you in the game! For the younger tennis enthusiasts ages 5-12, join Constantin and Greg for a Junior Play Day in the afternoon.

If you have already been so active that it’s time for a massage, we can arrange the perfect one! Choose from a whole menu of fabulous pampering options from our Blue Chair Day Spa massage therapists Kate and Patti. See the concierge to set up your treatments, with openings still available for today!

A slideshow of the candid images captured this week will be running this afternoon in the Ranger Room. Don’t forget to pick up a card at the concierge desk with information and the password on how to view and purchase your images online. Or stop by the Club Room tomorrow from 12-2 pm to order your images in advance.

Basin Harbor has activities for the whole family! Remember that resort-wide activities for the day are printed on the back of the daily Breeze, while the kids’ program schedule of events is listed separately on the back of the Weekly Schedule, available at the Front Desk and posted on the bulletin board in the lobby. Don’t miss out!

The Town Hall will be brimming over with excitement for Basin Harbor’s favorite game, BINGO! Who will take home the jackpot tonight?
