Basin Harbor welcomes our friends Joseph and Betsy Carlucci from Wilton, CT, who are here for the week to soak up some lovely Vermont summertime delight! From Morristown, NJ we are pleased to see James Gilbert and company back with us for the weekend. Kirk and Molly Ludtke are stopping through from New Canaan, CT along with Jack, Annie, and Ellen. Welcome back! Special wishes are in order for Jack Prior, who is entering year 14 today. We wish Jack a very Happy Birthday!
What a dramatic Basin Harbor Triathlon, complete with a downpour right in the middle! We congratulate each and every one of our soaked 48 participants, and all the cheerleaders who showed up to watch. Our First Female to cross the line was Allison Spears with a time of 19:04. Max Bicknell took the honors as the First Male to finish, in 18:08. Dream Team Caleb Vinch, Andrew Ruvkun, and Xavier Ryan stole the victory for Team Honors, setting a new Basin Harbor record of 16:15! Top Youth finishers were Oona Nash, Graden Schweitzer, and Jack Yonover. Congratulations are also in order for Quinn Keller and Mason Yonover in our Youth Division, as well as the Seay Team Annabelle and Max who finished strong with their father Duncan. Well done, Triathletes! We are very impressed with your feats of strength and endurance!
Apparently, swimming across the harbor just wasn’t enough for 11.5-year-old Vincenzo DiNatale, so our courageous young guest made the swim all the way across Lake Champlain yesterday, from New York to Vermont! Way to go!
Need a break from the rigors of outdoor enjoyment? The Champlain Lounge might be just the place to gather! Not only can you rent board games from the Front Desk, but there are also DVDs and videos to check out. Constantin will be waiting to make you a delicious beverage in the comfy lounge this afternoon as you gather for a game of cards with the family.
A Photography Ordering Session will be held in the Club Room from 12-2 pm. All candid images from this week will be on sale: 25% off! So, whether you are ordering from candids, our family portraiture specials or a private session, stop by and meet with Ann-Marie to view samples, ask questions and place your orders.
Have you tried out the brand new YOLO boards at the Waterfront this year? Stand-up Paddling has never been more exhilarating, so head on down to see Tom and the gang, and rent a YOLO today!
Get ready for a Friday night of delight! After watching your favorite friends perform their best talents at the Basin Harbor Talent Show, head to the Red Mill for a few live sets by the super fun jazz band The Weston Bessette Quartet, covering hits from decades past and present. See you there!
