Our sincere apology for being a day late to wish a Very Happy Birthday to Alexa Nasta of Haddonfield NJ. We hope you had a great day and many more in the coming year. We Welcome Back our returning guests: Ann and Cal Wick have arrived to once again spend time with us from Wilmington DE. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Scott and their children have returned from West Chester PA. Jane and Alfred Vogel have returned from Pennington NJ. Leslie Shaw is visiting us again from Boonton NJ, and Michelle and David Phippen have returned for another visit from Beverly MA. We Welcome all of our guests and wish you happy days ahead.
Did you know that Vermont has more tennis courts per capita than any other state? We’re happy to have made some contributions to that statistic and hope you’ll join in on the fun and excitement on the courts. The week-long Round Robin format begins today. The tournament and the adult clinic will be held at the hard courts. Stop by the Tennis Shop, meet our pro, Adam Kent, and sign up for clinics or the Round Robin.
Chef Rod Rehwinkel and our connoisseur of wines, Joss Vandal, combine their talents at tonight’s Chef’s Tasting Dinner in the Garden Room. Cocktails to begin. Choose to pair wines with your dinner or choose to simply enjoy exceptional dining presentations. Vegetarian options are available in all eight courses. A true chef’s table. Reservations are limited.
Simply Serenity Spa at Basin Harbor offers deep tissue massage to relieve those stiff and sore muscles our golf and tennis players, and Treehouse Fitness buffs may acquire, as well as classic restorative Swedish massage to erase all the little tensions of our days. The Anti-Stress Express Massage is designed to relieve tension in your specific stress areas. A manicure or pedicure will relax as well as beautify. Make your reservations through our Concierge. Stop by or call Ext. 836.
Our bell captain, Rory McGargahn spotted a fox running between Anchorage and Harborview cottages while on one of his many jaunts through the property. Michelle Corderre, our front desk manager, spotted a fox between the Fitness Center and the golf course running into the woods. Our foxes are accustomed to human activity and enjoy watching you as much as you enjoy watching them. Please help our foxes and other wildlife remain wild by not feeding them. There’s more than enough natural food to keep them healthy and active. Basin Harbor’s grounds have been designated an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Wildlife Preserve. Please let the concierge or the front desk know if you spot any unusual wildlife and your name and experience will appear in the Breeze.
