The Basin Harbor Family extends wishes to the Jernstedts for an excellent celebration of this special day..We welcome back the David Iselin Family of White Plains, NY after many stays. Frequent guests Rick and Karen Fisher of Bergen NY are returning as is the Alan Roycroft Family of Westwood MA. We wish all of our guests enjoyable days ahead and hope to see you back again soon.

Vermont hosts 16 pairs of territorial nesting bald eagles, the result of the Vermont Bald Eagle Restoration Initiative. By 2006 the last of 29 eagles was released from the Dead Creek Wildlife Management Area. As you drive toward us on Basin Harbor Road’s causeway, the Dead Creek area is on your left. The fast running Otter Creek is on your right. Small rowing craft may be rented at the River’s Edge Campground for exploration of the management area with its abundant wildlife.. Give them a call at 475-2700. Prior to the project Vermont was the only state in the union that did not have nesting bald eagles.
