Peter & Elizabeth Munson are coming from Shelter Island Heights, NY. And joining us from Cambridge, MA is Samantha Reed! Welcome also to Elizabeth Callahan and Mathew Callahan who are joining the Munson Reunion!
All of us here at Basin Harbor would like to wish Mia Halfman a very Happy Birthday!
This afternoon we are so thrilled to have Joanne back to show us how to DIY some Recycled Tile Coasters. Space is limited, so make sure you sign up with the Concierge!
End your week with a bang! We are hosting Harborpalooza at the Pool this afternoon! This tropical themed pool party will be rocking! With cocktails, pool volleyball, swan diving, and super silly photo ops, this is one event you don’t want to miss out on! So grab your best swimsuit, your best friend, and your best swim moves, and head to the Pool!
Peter Morris will be hosting a Bee Talk this afternoon! Let him regale you with information and insight into how these productive little beings live. Meet in the Lodge Lobby to be transported to the Apiary.
We’ve got a special treat tonight at the Red Mill tonight! The band Dionysia will be playing for us. The band includes some of our own past Basin Harbor employees returning from tour. We are so thrilled to have them joining us for the evening. Come on down and show your support!
Congratulations to all participants of the 2014 Basin Harbor Triathlon! Special shout out to Connor Dolan for completing the bike portion of the race twice! We also want to recognize the experienced adult winning team of Ed Cerny, Jen Thorson, & Colleen D’Alessandro. Our first finisher was team RRG consisting of Spencer Cookson, John Ovitt, & Oliver Cookson. Our first kids team was Anna Halfman, Laura Brawley, & Lindsay Greenspan. Our first female finisher was Nicole Lay finishing with her daughter and first female youth finisher, Meredith Lay. The top male was Paul Butcher and our top male youth was Oliver Lay.
Congratulations to all! See you next year.
The Addison County Fair and Field Days is still going on in neighboring New Haven! Tonight are the Tractor Pulls. This is a great event you don’t want to miss. It tends to be loud and dusty/muddy though, so we wouldn’t recommend wearing your best. Grab Fried Dough with Maple Cream or visit the Maple Barn to sample all of the delicious (and sometimes wild) things we put Maple Syrup on! Tomorrow is the last day, ending with a special bracelet night (for rides) and fireworks!
