It’s the first day of Summer, and the forecast is in agreement! Mostly sunny skies and a high of 81 degrees are predicted to take shape on this lovely Friday, with a few more pleasant clouds rolling in overnight.

How wonderful to see our returning guests this week! Basin Harbor welcomes George Marlette of Cohasset, MA, as well as the lovely Kim Melick and Carter from Paxton, MA. From Rosemont, PA comes Gerard & Patricia Cuddy with the whole gang. We are glad to see longtime friend Maureen Healey of Marshfield Hills, MA along with her extended family, and Walter Cabbot with his family from Dedham, MA. A warm welcome goes out to Elizabeth Wilson of Concord, MA, who is here with other family members John & Jennifer Wilson of Winchester, MA along with Benjamin, Abigail, and Sam. Great to see you again! Bob & Janney Glowacky are back with Alexandra and Will from Wellesley Hills, MA for more summer fun. We hope you all have a fantastic week at Basin Harbor Club!

We also have some very special occasions happening here at Basin Harbor this weekend! Celebrating their 40th Anniversary are Steve & Joanne Severson, joining us all the way across the country from Seattle, WA. From just up the road in Essex Junction, VT we congratulate Sam & Georgianna Tatro on their 41st Anniversary. We wish you all many more happy years ahead!

Group News

A fabulous weekend awaits our groups at BHC! We welcome members of the Strawbridge and Lowther families for their reunion, as well as the Wilson and Ashton family who are gathering at the Harbor for a celebration. We also welcome the Healey family for their gathering. We hope you all have a wonderful time together!

Wedding News

Love is in the air! Basin Harbor welcomes our happy Wedding couple Michelle Koehler and Meredith Taylor, who will be uniting tomorrow and enjoying a festive celebration all weekend with family and friends. Congratulations! We know you’ll have many wonderful years together.

Sports News

Way to go, Triathletes! We had a grand turn-out for our first go of the 2nd Annual Basin Harbor Triathlon, and our participants all did very well! Our first place Female with a time of 18:31 was Hannah Kates, while Gib Carey took the honors for first place Male at 21:19. The winning Team with a time of 15:01 went to Nathaniel Feinsten, Steve Sebella, and Mike Payson. Special honors went to masters Women’s team with a time of 21:22 for Jen Devore, Emily Terry, and Sue Payson. Last but not least, our first place Youth category went to Ellie and Abigail Sherwood, 9 and 10 years old respectively. We congratulate each of our 19 participants and can’t wait to see you again next year!

Happy Summer Solstice! We are excited to present a brand new event this year to celebrate our favorite season at Basin Harbor, the Summer Solstice Celebration! Stop by the Homestead Lawn today anytime between 12pm and 4pm to participate in fun crafts like flower crown-making and paper butterflies, henna tattoos, and all kinds of lawn games. Solstice celebrations continue tomorrow afternoon with family activities like kite-making, face painting, and a soccer game!

A Photography Ordering Session will be held in the Club Room from 12-2 pm. All candid images from this week will be on sale; 25% off! So, whether you are ordering from candids, our family portraiture specials or a private session, stop by and meet with Ann-Marie, to view samples, ask questions and place your orders.

Head to the Red Mill at dusk and we’ll light a bonfire to keep the night going! Your late-night musical entertainment is provided this evening inside the Mill by the boot-stompin’ band Belle Pines. Burlington’s legendary Brett Hughes and his honky-tonk musicians will keep you dancing all night long!
