Local Weather (Subject to Change!)
Here comes Summer! Get ready for a perfect day, with blue skies and a high of 78 degrees. Overnight temps are likely to drop to the low 50s, and we can look forward to all kinds of stars tonight.
What a beautiful day to welcome our returning guests Robert & Marilyn Kelso from Adirondack, NY! Good to see you again. From Sudbury, MA we are happy to welcome Mr. Giles Troughton and Ms. Karen Ramsey. We hope you have a wonderful stay at the Harbor!
Basin Harbor is delighted to welcome our golfers on property who are participating in the 5th Annual NECI Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament! We are delighted to have you all here. Happy teeing!
Do you want to feel stronger? Enhancing your core strength is a great way to improve your entire well being, and will make your vacation feel that much better! BHC offers a Core Training class this morning before lunch at the Treehouse Wellness Center to get you on your way. Sign up with the concierge.
The sun is out, and the Basin Harbor Triathlon is on! Challenge yourself on this fun event that will have you swimming, biking, and running around BHC property. Grab a friend or family member for a team, or do all three legs on your own! Meet down at the waterfront at 1:45pm with a bike and helmet.
If you’re itching to stretch those legs on a mountaintop, join Abbey today after lunch for a good old-fashioned upward stroll to nearby Buck Mountain. The hike, which is just a couple of miles round trip, will get that blood flowing and reward you with a lovely view over the Champlain Valley! Sign up in advance with the concierge, and meet Abbey at the Nature Center at 2pm. Bring water and a pair of boots, as Spring conditions can be a bit muddy!
A slideshow of the candid images captured this week will be running this afternoon in the Ranger Room. Don’t forget to pick up a card at the concierge desk with information and the password on how to view and purchase your images online. Or stop by the Club Room tomorrow from 12-2 pm to order your images in advance.
Today is the last day of Spring! This means, of course, that tomorrow is the first day of Summer! To celebrate, Basin Harbor is throwing a Summer Solstice Bash tomorrow from noon to 4pm, complete with lawn games, art projects, and a special guest appearance by The Sun! Bonfire and music by Belle Pines at the Red Mill to follow.
We’re in New England, so how about some lobster? Make your reservations for our Shore Dinner tonight on the North Dock, where you’ll be rewarded with a bounty of deliciousness from the land and sea, and if we’re lucky, a glorious sunset.
Quote of the Day:
“Never waste any amount of time doing anything important
when there is a sunset outside that you should be sitting under!”
