Look for more of that creemee weather to take us through the holiday week! A high of 82 degrees and partly cloudy skies await your day.
What a fantastic day to welcome back some of our favorite guests! This week we are joined by Tim and Janet Nee from Beverly, MA. Glad to see you again! Basin Harbor also welcomes the Yanche Family from New Brunswick, NJ, and Staten Island, NY. The extended family is gathering to catch up and to celebrate Michelle Yanche’s birthday. We wish you a happy birthday, and hope you enjoy your stay!
Wildlife sighting! Basin Harbor’s very own Sasha Bradford, of night auditing fame, spotted a young fox running off from the Red Mill directly after the 3rd of July fireworks. We love to hear about your nature encounters at Basin Harbor! Be sure to visit the Nature Center and record your sightings on the Wildlife Watch board.
What an action-packed Round Robin down at the courts yesterday! John Ratcliffe-Lee and John Pollart came up with a down-the-line win on match point to defeat Lisa Colman and assistant pro Craig Kirchgessner. Thanks to all participants, and to those at our Juniors clinic! Be sure to come out this afternoon and see if you can Beat the Pro! Adam and Craig will be ready for you to step up to the challenge with your best racket skills.
We had some very talented golf enthusiasts at our Putting Tournament yesterday, and are proud to announce our winners. In the Men’s Division, Mark Yanche came in first with a score of 14, while Cherie Mathews scored 17 to top the Women’s Division. Sam Gardner and his score of 16 won him the token spot in the Junior Divison. Way to go, Putters!
Feel like cooling off indoors this afternoon? How about rounding up a friend or even the whole family for a board game in the Champlain Lounge? Basin Harbor Club offers a whole selection of games to borrow from the Front Desk, and DVDs to check out for this evening! While you’re in the lounge, grab a cool beverage from the bar, which is open from 3pm to 10pm.
A slideshow of the candid images captured this week will be running this afternoon in the Ranger Room. Don’t forget to pick up a card at the concierge desk with information and the password on how to view and purchase your images online. Or stop by the Club Room tomorrow from 12–2pm to order your images in advance.
