The History
Our 3000 ft. grass airstrip dates back to 1936. It was drained and reconstructed in 1950 with help from the Civil Air Patrol as part of the Cold War effort. It is quite the sight to see a DC3, designed to land on shorter fields, fly into Basin Harbor.
