Keep that bathing suit on hand! Tomorrow we’re looking at 93 degrees in the afternoon with lots of sunshine.
Happy Friday the 13th to our guests at Basin Harbor! We are delighted to welcome back for their second stay this season, Patrick & Dyhana Bradley from Essex, VT, along with Ella and Nick. How wonderful to see you again!
Our weekly Basin Harbor Triathlon was a rockin’ success! We would like to thank everyone who participated and enjoyed the event yesterday afternoon. The honors for Top Male and Top Female Triathlete, respectively, went to Garrett Schneider with a time of 19:45 and Becky Bennis, at 20:41. Ben Schneider ranked number 1 for Top Mail Youth with 27:10, and Olivia Zubarik finished in 28:00 as Top Female Youth. Top Team honors went to our dynamic mother-son duo Stephen Zubarik and Jen Zubarik. Stephen was our youngest competitor, at age 6! A special mention goes out to Erin Zubarik who eagerly completed the entire run with her helmet still on! Basin Harbor also sends out a high five to Ana Epstein, who spontaneously decided to compete just 5 minutes before the race. Way to go!
A Photography Ordering Session will be held in the Club Room from 12-2 pm. All candid images from this week will be on sale: 25% off! So, whether you are ordering from candids, our family portraiture specials or a private session, stop by and meet with Ann-Marie to view samples, ask questions and place your orders.
Feeling glitzy? Find your personal style from a treasure chest of beads! Bejewel yourself with some stunning accoutrements that Asia will help you to put together during her Jewelry Class.
And if you are in a creative mood before lunch, join Abbey at the Nature Center for a fun-filled art class, Wildlife in Pastels. Sign up in advance with the concierge!
Do you suffer from friggatriskaidekaphobia? That’s the fear of Friday the 13th! Don’t worry about your lone cottage in the woods, Basin Harbor will take care of you! We’ll do our best to keep the property free of black cats, but meanwhile you can surround yourself with fun and friends this evening by attending Talent Night in the Club Room after dinner, followed by a few sets from The Ryan Hanson Band at the Red Mill. Be there, or be . . . scared?
On your way out of town tomorrow, don’t miss Vergenne’s French Heritage Day. Events will be carrying on from 10am until dusk, all organized by the Addison County Chamber of commerce. Look forward to historical reenactments, craft demonstrations, fencing demonstration, delicious French-style food, a silent auction, music, horse and carriage rides, and even a “Waiter’s Race”. Fun for the whole family!
